Farrans Construction is structured in to two primary divisions: Building and Civil Engineering. We have live projects throughout the UK and work in various sectors which include healthcare, homes, utilities and transportation.

Your virtual work placement will give you the opportunity to connect with the construction industry. You will gain an introduction to our industry, our organisation and careers within it, as well as recognising and developing the skills you will need for the world of work.

 Morgan Sindall Construction

 A great opportunity to gain VWEX with one of the big players. They have just 72 places nationwide and a total of 18 of these have been ring fenced for students from East Anglia. We are expecting high demand, so please encourage your child to register early. The closing date is 29th January. See below an example timetable so that you can be aware of the week’s content. This will be an exciting week for those with an interest in entering the world of construction consisting of working as part of a team to deliver a project brief to design, programme and cost a sustainable construction project., 

One Week unpaid Virtual Work Experience vacancy week, commencing: 15th February – 19th February 2021

We are looking for individuals who can work as part of a team to deliver a project brief to design, programme and cost a sustainable construction project.


Key skills/requirements:

  • Laptop or tablet with working mic

 What does the week involve?

The work experience is delivered using Google Classrooms that meets all GDPR and Safeguarding requirements. You will work in virtual offices. There will be several meetings each day. You will work as part of a team and each of you will take a job role to deliver the project.
