Visit to the House of Parliament

p4
Yesterday the Politics Club spent the day in the Borough of Westminster. Students started the day with a trip on the London Eye, where they enjoyed looking at the skyline of London and having a birds eye view of the Palace of Westminster.

They then walked to Downing Street, where they witnessed a peaceful protest and got an opportunity to see Iain Duncan Smith being interviewed in the street.

Then on a tour of The Palace of Westminster were they watched Damian Hinds, Secretary of State for Education answering questions about education in the House of Commons. They were also able to see how John Bercow overseas proceedings. The highlight for lots of the students was seeing Boris Johnson sitting in the House of Commons.
