Stowmarket High School Committee
The School Committee is the local governance board of the Waveney Valley Academies Trust (WVAT). It supports the vision and strategic direction of the school, holds the head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school, its pupils and performance management of staff.
In addition, certain areas are covered by committee members with specific responsibilities: Health & Safety, Safeguarding, SEN and Preventing Radicalisation.

There are three types of committee members, Parent committee members appointed by parents/carers of Stowmarket High School pupils/students or the School Committee, Co-opted appointed by the WVAT and Staff appointed by Stowmarket High School staff members.
