School will be open Wednesday 24th April as usual

Dear Families

We have been working tirelessly with the trusts, engineers, and contractors to rectify the problems. We can confirm the school will be open to all year groups as of tomorrow, following a normal timetable. However, due to complications around fixing the issues regarding our water supply, the following arrangements will be in place: 

• Due to our heating system not working, should students feel the need to wear their jackets in class, these will be permitted. Teaching staff will monitor the temperature of their classrooms and heaters will be available upon request
• Adequate bottles of hand sanitiser have been purchased and placed in all toilets and general shared spaces, to compensate for the lack of hot water. If any student has any requests or issues regarding this matter, please consult the medical team in the Attendance Office on the ground floor 
• Regarding catering, we have worked to ensure a full service can resume as normal
• Throughout the day, we have also employed extra cleaning services to ensure all shared surfaces are thoroughly cleaned

Whilst we understand the inconvenience this has caused; the health and safety of our students is always paramount. We would like to thank all of you for your patience during this time, as well as thanking those members of our team who have gone above and beyond to secure a full opening as quickly and safely as possible. Over the next week, we will be having many engineers in the building fixing the issues at hand, and if there is further information to be shared, we will contact you in due course.
